The New England College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (NECOEM), an ACOEM component society and the Massachusetts Association of Occupational Health Nurses (MaAOHN) will present their annual conference on December 4–6, 2019 at the Boston-Newton Marriott Hotel, Newton, Mass. The theme of the conference is “Occupational Health: Making a Difference.”
Topics presented will be work-related concussion: emerging epidemic of cognitive disability; concussion and its effects: a focus on vision treatment repertoire for at-risk patients; drugs of impairment: marijuana in the workplace; occupational medicine: an electric journey; gold standards of wound care; the effect of obesity on worker comp; occupational dermatology; pollution and climate change disease; DOT updates. The Rocky Mountain Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (RMAOEM), an ACOEM component society, will present its annual conference on January 31 – February 1, 2020 in Aurora, Colo. The theme of their conference is “Facing the Challenge.” For additional conference details and on-line registration, visit www.rmaoem.org.
The 2020 “American Occupational Health Conference (AOHC)” will be held May 3–6 (Sunday to Wednesday) at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC. AOHC is the annual meeting of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Conference highlights will include the Exhibit Hall Opening Reception, the Opening General Session and the Sappington Lecture. Exhibits, poster sessions, and pre- and post-conference course offerings will augment the meeting. Sessions will run Sunday through mid-day on Wednesday, May 6.
