In nine of the articles, the implementation of the UAP model was found to increase patient satisfaction. In seven articles, the implementation of the UAP model was found to have no effect on patient satisfaction. In addition, two research articles also were reviewed that related patient satisfaction to continuity of care and aspects of caring behaviors. Discussion of these articles included research problems, methodology, findings, and conclusions.
