The sensitivity of visual inspection with acetic acid and colposcopy to detect cervical intraepithelial neoplasia more severe than grade 2 lesions was higher among human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16)/HPV-18 positive genotypes compared to non–HPV-16/HPV-18 positive genotypes compared to non–HPV-16/HPV-18 genotypes.
