Lorenz J. Finison, PhD, is a TQM consultant in healthcare and is on the faculty of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, in the areas of biostatistics and epidemiology. He has taught in the graduate program in healthcare administration at Simmons College in Boston and was chair of the healthcare committee for the management division of the American Society for Quality Control. He is a member of the advisory committee of the Healthcare Quality Educational Foundation.
Karl S. Finison, MA, is research director of Maine Health Information Center in Augusta, ME, and has been involved in the research and analysis units at Health New England, Springfield, MA; in the department of medical policy and quality assessment, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maine, Portland, ME; and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. He is a member of the American Society for Quality Control.
Christopher M. Bliersbach, MHA CPHQ, is president of CMB Associates, Inc., a healthcare quality management consulting service. He also serves as the director of quality assurance for the Maine Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. He is a member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality and the American Society for Quality Control and serves on both organizations' editorial review boards. He also is the primary author of NAHQ's Guide to Quality Management.
