Call for Abstracts on Behavioral Health
The Journal of Healthcare Management is planning a special edition for November/December 2023 dedicated to behavioral health.
Authors are invited to submit a 200-word abstract by November 4th, 2022. Abstracts should include a short overview of the proposed manuscript, the intended audience, and key messages for readers. When submitting, please be sure to indicate that your abstract is intended for this special edition. Full articles will be due by June 1, 2023.
The editorial staff will consider original research covering the following topics:
1) The perceptions and development of emotional intelligence, the role of the education system in the development of behavioral health
2) Equity/access/inclusion issues related to promoting behavioral health both from an individual and a population health perspective
3) Mental health and addictions, the opioid crisis (including methadone), policy implications of increasing mental health issues related to COVID
4) Licensing and certifying specialists, such as behavioral analysts
5) Designing collaborative organizations and work relationships
6) Stress and workplace violence, as well as innovations in workplace wellness in healthcare
7) Moral distress/injury as a precursor to burnout
8) Collaborative approaches with Indigenous healers, both for American Indians and Indigenous Canadians
9) Behavioral health in long-term care for residents and staff
10) The use of technologies to promote behavioral health, with an emphasis on populations with access to care issues
The Journal of Healthcare Management (JHM) is an official journal of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Published bimonthly, JHM is a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to providing healthcare leaders with the information they need to manage complex healthcare issues and to make effective strategic decisions.
