As 2019 comes to an end, we simply want to say “thank you” to the many special people who make this venture of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons possible. Please browse our annual acknowledgement of reviewers in the back pages of this issue (pg. 1851) and join us in thanking them for their unselfish commitment to peer review. It is impossible to overstate the importance of the work they do to ensure both the quality and the relevance of work you see in print and online at JCRS. A special group of only 40 reviewers—members of The JCRS 100 Club—have taken this commitment to another level by their extraordinary commitment to peer review. These reviewers, who are also listed in this issue (pg. 1857), have reviewed at least 100 manuscripts for JCRS. Remarkable! We are thrilled to welcome Jorge L. Alió, MD, PhD from Alicante, Spain to The 100 Club this year.
And if you have not browsed the frontmatter of the journal recently, please take a moment to acknowledge our distinguished Editorial Board members. We rely on the hard work and creativity of our Consultation Section editors, Review/Update editors, and Editorial Board members as we strive to deliver content that advances our field while making a difference in the everyday practice of anterior segment surgery. These individuals are the heart and soul of JCRS, and the journal is a reflection of their diversity.
JCRS would not exist without our talented and dedicated editorial staff, which includes our Managing Editor Genie Bailey, Peer Review/Publications Manager Jackie Garcia, Senior Editors Dawn Daugherty and Wendy Pacheco, Editorial Assistants Louise Brennan and Alison Jefferson, and Social Media Editor Caroline Anderson.
Thank you all for your continued support of JCRS, and Happy New Year!
