The facial data illustrated in this work are exclusively secondary use of the Binghamton University 3D Facial Expression (BU-3DFE) Database, which is available for research purposes with an academic license agreement. The BU-3DFE database is described in Yin et al (2006) and can be downloaded at http://www.cs.binghamton.edu/~lijun/Research/3DFE/3DFE_Analysis.html. The BU-3DFE database has been used and cited in 1200+ journal articles for facial and emotion research. The original anonymous subjects within the database consented for their faces to be scanned, with race and sex identifiers provided. No new subjects’ facial data were collected or analyzed in this research.
