Acceleration of Fracture Healing Distal to a Venous Tourniquet

A standard fracture or defect was made bilaterally in the bones of dogs. When a venous tourniquet was applied unilaterally for six weeks or until the fractures healed, healing was accelerated on the tourniquet side.
