Rotator cuff disease is one of the most common causes of shoulder pain in the orthopaedic setting. Symptoms can vary widely from pain due to simple inflammation to pseudoparalysis from massive, irreparable tears. Diagnostic imaging and surgical treatment vary widely depending on the severity of the pathology. This article will explore the current literature of trending orthopaedic imaging and surgical options depending on the presenting course of rotator cuff pathology.
