These were treated with percutaneous posterior column screws. Both patients healed their fractures and made full return to sport. Conclusion: Ischial stress fractures should be considered in the differential for athletes with persistent gluteal pain. Percutaneous fixation is a minimally invasive and effective method of treating symptomatic ischial stress fractures that have failed nonoperative treatment.
