Case:
A thirty-one-year-old woman was diagnosed with a minimally displaced medial femoral condyle (Hoffa) fracture. Reduction and retrograde percutaneous screw fixation were performed under arthroscopic visualization. At three months postoperatively, she was able to walk without support, had no pain, and had full range of movement of the knee.
Conclusion:
In Hoffa fractures, arthroscopy-assisted fixation is an option for treatment. It is advantageous because it allows the ability to evaluate other intra-articular structures, decreases blood loss, shortens surgical time, decreases soft-tissue dissection, and facilitates a shorter postoperative rehabilitation period.
