Genital herpes affects nearly 500 million people between the ages of 15 and 49 worldwide. Despite its prevalence, those affected experience stigmatization, distress, and a lack of psychological support. A mixed methods review was conducted integrating qualitative and quantitative findings to increase the understanding of the impact of genital herpes on young people and adults.
