Roderick S. Hooker is a retired PA and health policy analyst. Kristine A. Himmerick is an assistant clinical professor in the PA program at Northern Arizona University's Phoenix Biomedical Campus. Michael P. Halasy is an instructor in Emergency Medicine at the Spine Center in the College of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. The authors have disclosed no potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise.
