Case Report

ABSTRACT Lead fractures are uncommon complications of pacemaker implantation. This article describes a patient with an incidental diagnosis of multiple atrial lead fractures many years after pacemaker implantation.

At the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn., Smith Giri is an internal medicine resident, Inyong Hwang is a fellow in cardiovascular medicine, and Shadwan Alsafwah is an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases.
