Investigative Radiology: January 1969 - Volume 4 - Issue 1 - p 24-27 Buy Abstract A group of 15 patients received tolazoline in an attempt to improve visualization of the superior mesenteric and portal veins. In all patients the venous system was more densely opacified after tolazoline than during the control series. No adverse side effects were encountered. Tolazoline, therefore, is an effective substitute for bradykinin in improving the visualization of mesenteric veins. © Lippincott-Raven Publishers.
