Infectious Microbes & Diseases (IMD) is an international open-access peer-reviewed journal that is dedicated to accelerate the dissemination, exchange and utilization of basic, applied and clinical scientific research results related to the field of infectious microbes and infectious diseases.
IMD provides rapid peer-review for articles. The Article Processing Charges will be waived in the first few years once the manuscript is considered for publication in

IMD aims to contribute globally to the translation of basic research findings and the evaluation of current and novel treatments, into the promotion of optimal practices for diagnosis and treatment of infections to improve the public health.
IMD strives for a rapid review process and only publishes manuscripts of outstanding quality.

Since 2007, it has received 308 national-level major grants with total fund of 1 billion RMB, and published 900 articles on SCI Journals including
NEJM, 4 of which were elected as the 100 most influential international articles in China. Academician Lanjuan Li and her team also attach importance to collaboration with the world's top research institutions to enhance international cooperation and influence.
