Healthcare is hard no matter where you work,

But in the neighborhoods, special nurses lurk.

Working out of well stocked trunks and nursing bags,

Battling complex situations and computer lag,

Homecare nurses are puttin' on their swag.

Full of knowledge, skills, and compassion,

It's nursing on the edge of healthcare fashion.

Preventing problems and readmissions,

Always considering financial implications.

In these times of doing more with less,

Staying out of the hospital means you are truly blessed.

Next time you see a nurse working out “in the sticks”,

Don't forget, we're healthcare's Seal Team Six!
