What External Resources Are Linked to the Green Journal Web Site?

Did you know that you have access to more than just Green Journal content? With each new issue, the journal provides links from selected articles to related content on the UpToDate®, Cochrane Summaries, Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pearls of Exxcellence web sites.
  • UpToDate® is a clinical decision support resource that is evidence-based and continuously updated. Many health care providers rely on it for medical knowledge at the point of care.
  • Cochrane Summaries offers free access to summaries of Cochrane Review articles. The summaries are geared toward the general population.
  • Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology is a quarterly journal on current topics in obstetrics and gynecology. Contributors are solicited to write articles geared toward practicing physicians.
  • Pearls of Exxcellence reviews the most challenging topics found on board examinations.

When the full version of a new issue of Obstetrics & Gynecology is released around the 20th–23rd of each month (see the web site for a list of issue release dates), icons will appear with each article that contains related content on one of these web sites. They look like this:

UpToDate icon
Cochrane Review indicator
Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology indicator
Pearls of Exxcellence icon

When you click on one of these icons, you will be directed to the pertinent web site. “UpToDate” and “eXXcellence” take you directly to the article. “Cochrane” takes you to the summary of the related Cochrane Review, and on the same page there is a link to the full-text of the Cochrane Review. “Clinical ObGyn” takes you to the page containing the abstract. Subscribers to Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology have access to the full text or PDF, and everyone has access to the abstract.

Take a look at the current issue for the most recent links to these resources.
