Does the Green Journal Have Any Multimedia Content Online?

With the welcoming of new leadership, Obstetrics & Gynecology also welcomes new online initiatives aimed at making our content more interactive and engaging.

One new initiative is a monthly podcast in which our web editor, Dr. Bill Dodson, interviews our new editor-in-chief, Dr. Nancy Chescheir, about the Editors’ Picks for the current issue. Each of our editors selects an article they wish to highlight, and Dr. Chescheir explains why each selection is important to the practicing clinician and what it contributes to the existing research. (You can listen to the inaugural podcast, for the July issue, here:
Dr. Dodson is also continuing his “Perspectives” podcast series, in which he asks field experts from around the world to discuss the implications of some of our most interesting and important articles. Access our archive of podcasts by clicking the “Podcasts” tab on
Obstetrics & Gynecology is also working to increase our presence on YouTube. We’ve issued calls via social media for video submissions for our YouTube “GreenJrnl” channel—independent of a manuscript submission. One video submitted this way, Dr. Aly Youseff’s “Reverse Breech Extraction of Fetus in Fronto-Anterior Persistent Brow Presentation,” is now one of our most popular videos, with nearly 1,300 views.
And as always, authors are still welcome to submit videos with their manuscripts. These videos can be uploaded as “Supplemental Digital Content.” To submit a video, or to ask questions prior to submission, please contact our production editor Shawna Byrd at
