Buy Abstract Seventy-seven percent of 200 women reported they had experienced sexual orgasm during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. The incidence of orgasm after 32 weeks of pregnancy was significantly higher in patients who subsequently delivered prematurely than in those who delivered at term. Even for those gravidas who delivered at term, orgasm was sometimes a cause of painful uterine contractions and/or lower abdominal discomfort. © 1971 The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
