Committee Opinion No. 750: Perioperative Pathways: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery: Correction

In “Committee Opinion No. 750: Perioperative Pathways: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery” from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists,1 there are errors on pages e123 and e127. On page e123 in Table 1, Components Which May Be Considered in the Design and Implementation of an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Program, first row (“Diet), second column (“Intervention”), the sixth bulleted point that reads “Maintain blood glucose levels (180–200 mg/dL)” is incorrect and should read “Maintain blood glucose levels less than 180–200 mg/dL.” On page e127, first column, second full paragraph, the first sentence that reads “A patient's blood glucose levels should be maintained between 180 and 200 mg/dL (54) is incorrect.” The correct sentence is “A patient's blood glucose levels should be maintained below 180–200 mg/dL (54).”
