In “Practice Bulletin No. 193: Tubal Ectopic Pregnancy” from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists,1 there is an error on page e97, second column, last line. In the sentence beginning “Patients should be advised…” the phrase “and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs” (on page e98) is incorrect and should read, “and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs should be avoided because of an increased risk of methotrexate toxicity.” The full, corrected sentence is as follows: “Patients should be advised to avoid folic acid supplements and foods that contain folic acid during therapy because these products may decrease the efficacy of methotrexate, and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs should be avoided because of an increased risk of methotrexate toxicity.”
