In “Practice Bulletin No. 141: Management of Menopausal Symptoms” from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists,1 there is an error on page 209 in the first paragraph of the “Estrogen” section. In the last sentence, the transdermal estradiol dosage incorrectly reads, “12.5 micrograms/d” and should instead read, “0.014 mg/d.” The full, corrected sentence is as follows: “Oral dosages of conjugated equine estrogen as low as 0.3 mg/d and transdermal estradiol dosages of 0.014 mg/d have demonstrated improvements in vaginal atrophy (38, 98).”
