An updated version of “Medical Liability: An Ongoing Nemesis” by J. Lumalcuri and R.W. Hale (Obstet Gynecol 2010;115:223–8) is available online at

In February 2010, our article (“Vesico-Uterine Fistula After Endometrial Ablation in a Woman With Prior Cesarean Deliveries”) was published in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Obstet Gynecol 2010;115:450–1). In our case report, we incorrectly attributed the vesico-uterine fistula to impedance-controlled endometrial ablation; specifically, the NovaSure (Hologic, Inc., Marlborough, MA) system. This was not the device used in this case. We sincerely regret this error.
