A case of a primary ovarian pregnancy culminating in abdominal delivery of a live baby is presented. The absolute necessity of endometrial tissue for development of the fertilized ovum is discussed. Although in advanced ovarian pregnancy-there is no profound difference from normal intrauterine gestation, it may mask the presence of an abruptio placentae.
