This is the case report of a young, pregnant female whose labor was complicated by the spontaneous rupture of a rare ovarian tumor. Hemoperitoneum occurred. After emergency laparotomy and oophorectomy were performed, the patient had a complete recovery. After presenting the clinical history of this patient, we will discuss the gynandroblastoma, a name that has lost favor with students of the subject who prefer the more appropriate term, “mixed gonadal stromal tumor.”
