The problem of a young girl with an anterior sacral meningocele, which presented as a gynecologic problem, is discussed. Palpation of a presacral cyst and X-ray evidence of a defect in the sacrum should suggest the diagnosis. Myelography will confirm its presence. Sacral laminectomy with ligation of the stalk is the preferred treatment in the young female.
