Obstetrics & Gynecology: September 1969 - Volume 34 - Issue 3 - p 403-405 Free Abstract Two cases of postpartum bacteremia with Haemophilus influenzae are reported. Endometritis was suspected in one patient, while the other had purulent amnionitis and placentitis from which gonococci, Bacteroides, E. coli, Pseudomonas and enterococci were isolated. The source of the bacteremia was not apparent in either patient. Both patients were treated with ampicillin and kanamycin, and they recovered. © 1969 The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
