About the Journal
Formosan Journal of Surgery, launched in 1968, is the official peer-reviewed open access journal of Taiwan Surgical Association (https://www.surgery.org.tw/) and various surgical subspecialties of Taiwan. As an open access publication, it permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.

Aim and Scope
Formosan Journal of Surgery publishes articles in the fields of bariatric and metabolic surgery, breast surgery, cardiovascular surgery, colon and rectal surgery, endocrine surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, surgical translational research, thoracic surgery, transplantation, traumatalogy, urology and its related disciplines. Formosan Journal of Surgery publishes original articles, review articles, case reports and correspondences that are of exceptional and unique importance. Studies on state-of-the-art surgical innovations across the entire spectrum of clinical and experimental surgery are particularly welcome.
The aim and significance of Formosan Journal of Surgery is to provide a forum for the publication of research papers on all aspects of surgery and the exchange of new medical knowledge.
