A Smart, Unassuming Man Who Excelled Quietly

doi: 10.1097/01.EEM.0000898264.91360.32

I went to medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP) and finished in 1985, but did my EM training and career elsewhere. Nonetheless, I knew Jim Roberts, starting with our ties to MCP, then across academic EM.

Your words about Jim are right on target—a smart, simple, and unassuming man who excelled, quietly. (“James R. Roberts, MD, a Titan of Emergency Medicine.” EMN. 2022;44[9]:1; https://bityl.co/ESo5.)

    I miss him already.

    Donald M. Yealy, MD
