Standing Up to Administrative Nonsense

doi: 10.1097/01.EEM.0000490531.99387.8b

    Editor:

Oh, my gosh, Brad Cotton, MD, said it so well! Good for him for helping that poor family and good for his group for standing up to the administrative nonsense that impairs all EDs. (“‘We Fired Our Hospital,’” EMN 2016;38[6]:1; http://emn.online/FiredJune2016.)

I have never written a letter to the editor for anything, but that article was inspiring! He wrote such great analogies! We have all heard and said it a million times: You don't get it if you're not there working in the ED like us, especially if you're not even a physician!

I hope that despite the never-ending pressures on us all that we can continue to serve our patients to the best of their needs and our abilities and always choose the right path, as Dr. Cotton said.
