In the July issue, a box in Infectious Disease Rounds omitted some information about the treatment of moderately severe pneumonia. The correct information follows: Telithromycin should not be used to treat moderately severe pneumonia unless the patient has moderately severe pneumonia that could be from multiple-drug-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, a reason not to take a beta-lactam antibiotic or a fluoroquinolone, and no indication of myasthenia gravis or hepatic disease. EMN regrets the error.
