The Egyptian Society of Pathology was formed on 8th April 2001 after approval by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The objectives of the society are as follows:

• To meet the needs of continuing education in pathology of the society members, as well as to provide national & international pathological communications
• The arrangement of scientific meeting and information sharing in these meetings
• The arrangement of training courses
• The publication of a scientific journal
• To aid pathologists involved in research work
