Evidence-Based Answer Yes, there is some correlation between maternal diet in breastfeeding mothers and infantile colic. A low allergenic maternal diet may reduce fussiness in some infants (SOR: B, lower quality RCTs). Maternal intake of cruciferous vegetables is associated with increased colic symptoms (SOR: B, cohort study).
