Carmen Rosa Presti, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, is an assistant professor at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies in Coral Gables, Florida and is a board certified acute care nurse practitioner. She is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Nichole A. Crenshaw, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, ANP-B, CHSE, FAANP, is an assistant professor and the director of the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies. She is board certified as both an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Adult Nurse Practitioner. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator and also a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Both authors also work as APRN’s in the cardiothoracic/surgical intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
