Nosocomial and hospital-related infections: PDF Only

Molecular epidemiology, rapid diagnostics, and national surveillance systems continue to elucidate risk factors and define new problems in pediatric and neonatal infection control. Tragically, preventable nosocomial infections often result from failure to consistently apply simple handwashing and patient isolation in the pediatric setting. This review focuses on current literature relating to prevention of pediatric and neonatal infections transmitted on caregivers' hands.
