Consent to disclosure was obtained from the patient and his guardian. The language tasks were carried out as a part of his routine epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) admission for the purposes of improving seizure characterization and localization and was not a clinical trial. No protocol approvals were necessary, and no written consent beyond the standard EMU admission consent was necessary.
