Guest Editor of Cardiology Plus
MD

Associate Professor, Senior Department of Cardiology, Chinese the People's Liberation Army (PLA) General Hospital, Chinese PLA Medical School, Beijing 100853, China.

Professor Junjie Yang is the cardiologist of Chinese PLA general hospital. He took his doctoral degree at Chinese PLA Medical School in 2012. Dr. Yang finished Master program of medical science in clinical investigation at Harvard Medical School and research fellow of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging program at Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2019. He has frontier experience in cardiovascular medicine, and his research focuses on the cardiovascular imaging and cardiac intervention. He is expertise on integrating multi-modality cardiovascular imaging into the diagnosis, risk stratification and treatment management of cardiovascular disease.

Neng Dai

Neng Dai
Guest Editor of Cardiology Plus
MD, Ph.D

Department of Cardiology, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases; National Clinical Research Center for Interventional Medicine, Shanghai, China

Dr. Neng Dai obtained his MD, Ph.D. degree in Cardiology from Tongji University in 2015. He received training for molecular imaging and system biology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School from 2014 to 2016. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Professor Junbo Ge at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University from 2018 to 2020. He now works as a fellow at Cardiology Department, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. His research focuses on the cardiovascular imaging and physiology, with special interest on non-invasive imaging (i.e., CT and SPECT) in defining lesion-specific or myocardial ischemia, and plaques stability by using biomechanics, radiomics, machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Main Purpose of the Special Issue:

In view of the rapid advances in cardiovascular imaging and its growing impact on clinical practice, Cardiology Plus is planning to publish a special issue in the fourth quarter of 2023. We invite submission of relevant studies on novel imaging technologies, as well as development of post-processing methods of the currently available technologies platforms, including magnetic resonance imaging, multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT), X-ray imaging, intravascular imaging (IVUS & OCT), nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Original research articles (both clinical and preclinical) and review articles are welcome.

Outline:

The topics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Artificial intelligence and radiomics in cardiovascular imaging
  2. Coronary intravascular imaging and physiology
  3. Noninvasive structural and functional cardiovascular imaging
  4. Cardiovascular imaging in managing cardiovascular diseases
  5. Cutting edge technology of cardiovascular imaging

Emerging topics of cardiovascular diseases in this field are also welcome.
