Buy Abstract The Simonton Method of Visualization is a new adjunctive method of cancer treatment based on the premise that the mind and emotions can stimulate the body's immune system to fight cancer cells. The method consists of three steps–counseling, relaxation exercises, and visualization–and has been shown to improve the quantity and quality of life for oncology patients. The article serves as an introduction to the method and includes an interview with a patient who is currently using the method. Implications for nursing are stressed. © Lippincott-Raven Publishers.
