Camp Good Days and Special Times was organized 3 years ago to provide a normal camping experience for children with cancer. These children are often denied entrance to other camps. Despite the fact that these kids have special problems, they are normal.2 As long as their disease is under control, there are few limitations for these children. The opportunity for emotional growth, social interaction, and development of new hobbies is important for them as it is for other children. This paper describes their activities and general medical organization of the camp, which allows for a safe, happy, “normal” week for these youngsters.
