The relationship between the athletic trainer and team physician has evolved over the years in professional baseball. Accountability has never been greater than it is now in this sport. This article brings to light the many areas athletic trainers and team physicians must navigate and manage in order to provide the best possible care to high-level athletes and maintain a solid, professional working relationship.
