Announcement: Change of Editor
It is a great pleasure to introduce Dr. Emily Jutkiewicz as the new Editor of Behavioural Pharmacology. She will succeed Dr. Jack Bergman, and she will be responsible for all submissions from North America.
Emily Jutkiewicz is Associate Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School. She has been involved in the journal for quite a few years, delivering her first review for Behavioural Pharmacology in 2005, and she has been a member of the Editorial Board since 2017. Dr. Jutkiewicz received training in Biopsychology at Tufts University, and received her PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan in 2004. Her research focuses on developmental and neural mechanisms of mental disorders, most prominently substance addiction and depression. Particular interests include the behavioural pharmacology of delta-opioid receptors, and the consequences of adolescent substance use. In addition, she has investigated mechanisms of pain and analgesia, as well as psychostimulant pharmacology. We look forward to working with Emily in her role and Editor, and we want to wish her every success!
We also take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Jack Bergman, who is now retiring after serving with distinction as North American editor of Behavioural Pharmacology since 2003. We are pleased that Jack’s profound experience of addiction research will not be lost to the journal as he will remain a member of the Editorial Board.
