ANNOUNCEMENT

Two Special Issues of Behavioural Pharmacology are planned for 2019.

As already announced, a Special Issue on The Behavioural Pharmacology of Stress-Related Disorders will be published in the spring of 2019, with a focus on paradigms in which stress has been shown to have lasting consequences, and a particular interest in submissions relevant to post-traumatic stress disorder. We are still accepting submissions for a short while: if you would like a paper to be considered, please contact one of the editors as soon as possible with the topic of the paper and the likely submission date, so that we can discuss prospects for inclusion and if appropriate, line up a rapid review.

And the editors also are pleased to announce that a Special Issue will be published in the autumn of 2019 on Behavioural Aspects of Neuroinflammation. Microglia represent the resident macrophages of the brain and their activation and proliferation, accompanied by increased secretion of cytokines, represent a hallmark of neuroinflammation. Over the past decades, neuroinflammatory responses have been reported for all neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders and intense research seeks to determine the critical elements and putative therapies to suppress inflammatory responses. We now invite the submission of reviews or empirical studies concerning behavioural causes and consequences of neuroinflammatory phenomena. Contributors should aim to submit by the end of April 2019 (although we will remain open to later submissions). All papers should be submitted online at http://www.editorialmanager.com/bpharm. The editors welcome correspondence from potential authors, particularly in relation to review papers. If you are planning to prepare a paper for submission, do please let us know.
