In the article by Joyce et al in the January 2023 issue, Optimal Settings at Initiation of Veno-Venous Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation: An Exploratory In-Silico Study (ASAIO J 2023; 69:e28-e34), the authors acknowledge a typo in the Conclusion.

Using the initial ECMO settings of Q˙ec = 1 L/min and V˙SWEEP of 4 L/min of 100% O2 would largely avoid these problems and seems to have no real disadvantages.
