About the Journal

​​​The Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology (APJO) is the official publication of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) and the Academy of Asia-Pacific Professors of Ophthalmology (AAPPO). It is an open-access, peer-reviewed electronic journal, indexed in MEDLINE and SCIE with an impact factor of 2.827 in 2020​. 

APJO welcomes submissions of original clinical research articles, review articles, perspectives, and letters to the editor. With the aim of supporting and fostering the academic exchange of knowledge and expertise, no processing and publication fees will be charged to the authors. 

As a bimonthly publication, APJO delivers both general issues and special issues which feature up-to-date and specialized topics contributed by world-renowned experts. By assembling a well-balanced collection of articles, APJO serves as an excellent venue for the latest clinical and research information for ophthalmologists and visual scientists around the globe.
