Early closing of the osseous fissure using a periosteal graft in bilateral labiopalatoschisis is usually done in two successive operations. The author carries it out in one. Sacrificing slightly the length of the segment of reconstructed palate, but with the assurance of continuity and solidity of the new osseous arch, one must consider the advantages of position and development with the one-stage method.
