Preoperative imaging plays an increasingly important role in the evaluation of primary hyperparathyroidism, and surgical referral may be predicated upon successful imaging. We performed a matched cohort analysis of patients undergoing parathyroidectomy to determine the impact of localization on operative cure rates.
