Call for Papers on Thematic Issue focusing on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Anesthesiology
Anesthesia & Analgesia is thrilled to announce a planned thematic issue of the Journal focusing on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in anesthesiology. We are looking for diverse, inclusive, innovative, and transdisciplinary authors and study teams that will examine the many aspects of DEI. We are particularly interested in work that goes beyond description of a problem or measurement, such as solution-based approaches at the individual-, hospital-, or policy-level, for achieving meaningful change and progress in DEI. We are also interested in work that explores methodologies and principles behind the design, implementation, and evaluation of DEI-related initiatives.
The editors will consider any of the following manuscript types:
- Original Clinical, Health Services or Education Research Report
- Original Laboratory Research Report
- Narrative Review Article
- Systematic Review Articles
- The Open Mind
- Special Article
- The Human Experience
This DEI-focused thematic issue will be guest edited by Paloma Toledo, MD, MPH, Crystal Wright, MD, and Thomas Vetter, MD, MPH. Authors should review the current “Instructions for Authors" at http://www.editorialmanager.com/aa for Anesthesia & Analgesia.
Interested authors can contact Dr. Paloma Toledo at [email protected] for additional information or to discuss specific topic proposals for the thematic issue.
The deadline for initial manuscript submission is May 1, 2023.
Publication of this Thematic Issue is planned for October 2023.
