A working group of >40 experts convened as part of the American Society of Anesthesiology Brain Health Initiative to develop recommendations for managing neurocognitive disorders. Their attention focuses on 4 key areas: the consent process for patients at risk of perioperative neurocognitive disorder, utility of preoperative screening tools, intraoperative management, and postoperative assessment. This infographic summarizes their recommendations. The reader is directed to the original article for a review of the scientific underpinnings that give rise to these recommendations.
