To the Editor

We are a bit confused. The interesting review by Hartog et al,1 which included more than a dozen references to papers by Professor Joachim Boldt, was published in the same issue that included an editorial stating that all of Dr. Boldt's work was under a “shadow of doubt.”2 We are increasingly challenged to keep up with science that is without a “shadow of doubt.” Dr. Hartog's manuscript, with so many references to the work of Dr. Boldt, makes that even more difficult.

The authors report no conflicts of interest.
